Acura Legend Sedan 1986

You kids these days, you have no idea how good you have it. See, there was a time not too long ago when, if you wanted a luxury car, your options were limited to Lincoln, Cadillac, one of the German brands, or, if you were the do it yourself type, Jaguar. Obviously, if you wanted any sort of driving experience other than pillow on waterbed and you didn’t want to have a live-in mechanic, your only option was to convert your dollars to deutschmarks. That’s what they had before Euros, punks. The year 1986 changed everything. Honda, flush with success from its Accord and Civic, introduced a new marque called Acura. The top of the lineup was an elegant, impeccably built, sporty sedan called Legend. Suddenly there was a viable alternative to the 3-series and the Benz 190300 that looked good and cost less, and offered the reliability and economy of a Honda. The Legend and it’s little brother, the Integra, were an instant success.
