With this kind of potential, the Leblanc Mirabeau really belongs on the racing track. That this car can be driven on public roads, is sensational.

J's Racing S2000 on the touge

How does the 1st generation of J's Racing Honda S2000 handle on the touge? It's designed to be a daily driver car with stereo and navigation system. Keiichi Tsuchiya is really impressed with cornering abilities of J's s2k. When he's suspiciously quiet while driving any car, that only means he really enjoys the drive. Taniguchi and Orido are also impressed with J's s2k, is it better than Amuse S2k?

MINE'S Nissan 370Z

Keiichi Tsuchiya testing JDM Mine's Nissan 370Z at Fuji Speedway track in December 2008, setting a time 2:04:610.

Toyota AE86 vs Honda EK9

One of legendary videos, battle between AE86 and EK9. As soon as Keiichi Tsuchiya in AE86 overtakes EK9, he starts drifting and making fun of opponent. EK9 has more power and with it advantage on straight line, but AE86 handles better in the corners. What's your opinion? Has EK9 wrong suspension setup for this track? Would the result be different if Tsuchiya would drive an EK9?

Sweden: Bjorks Toyota Supra with 800hp

Very nice videos of Bjorks Toyota Supra from Sweden with single turbo. Having fun on the track, showing off on the parking, at the end of first movie; video showing acceleration from 100 Kph to top speed: 340 Kph! 100-100Kph in under 5 seconds, that's just crazy... Although it's not JDM styled, I wouldn't mind at all owning it:)

HKS Skyline GT-R R34

Keiichi Tsuchiya testing 650 hp HKS Skyline GT-R R34.
HKS Skyline R34 has variable valve timing control (VVT) on a turbo engine. VVT is installed for keeping the low rev torque and still keeping the maximum power outcome at high revs. Loss of low rev torque is often when stock turbine is replaced with bigger one. HKS GT-R also has HKS custom forged crank and pistons..
What about adjustable valve system in exhaust, which controls the exhaust noise! The car is oriented to be the ultimate street GT-R. In a video it runs on street tires and not the best setup for that track, I think that's why it's such a difference in best lap time between HKS (1:03:xx) and MINE'S (0:59:xx) Skyline GT-R.

Difference in power measures bhp whp kw

Many people don't know the difference in some power measures like bhp, kw, whp, hp etc so here's my explanation:
Horsepower (hp) is just a unit used to measure power of engines. Power = Work / Time. If we believe James Watt, 1hp is power needed to lift 550 pounds one foot in 1 second. So 1hp = 550 pounds x 1 foot / 1 sec.
Watts (w) is a unit used to measure power (joules per second). 1000w (1kw) is equal to 1.36 hp in the metric system which is often used.
Power on engine's crankshaft is bigger than power on wheels because pure power of engine's output has some loses in gearbox, differential, water pump, muffled exhaust system and other auxiliary components of an engine.
Brake horsepowers (bhp) is power on engine's crankshaft with no loses on other engine components. Brake refers to a device that holds engine's rpms to hold at desired value.
Wheel horsepowers (whp) is a effective and true measure for real power output because it's measured directly on wheels with all the loses in gearbox and other components. It's a measure of horsepowers that come directly on the wheels and ground. It measures on a dyno.
What's the number difference between whp and bhp? It's different in every car, some of them have more loses of power and some of them less. But usually we add 10-20% of power to get brake horsepowers from wheel horsepowers.

JDM Japan police cars pictures

Police officers in Japan seem to have a dream job. Who wouldn't love to drive around Subaru WRX Sti, Honda NSX, Nissan R33 or R34 Skyline? Ignoring that you have to chase bad guys and do some paper job, being a police patrol officer in Japan really is a dream job.
