TE37 Volks on S2000

I completely forgot about this beauty. If you remember, it’s Dut's S2000 posing on Volks TE37.

Can an Audi be better than a Ferrari?

In 2007, when Audi launched the R8 sports car with the V8 engine, our sights were firmly settled on the Porsche 911, a car which for many years had ruled this part of the market.

Over the years, many manufacturers had taken on the 911, but none had matched it for engineering precision, day to day usability and sheer driving pleasure. The Audi R8 changed all that, and has won critical acclaim ever since.

When we launched the Audi R8 V10 we saw the model take another step up, this time competing with the awesome Porsche 911 Turbo, and winning sales otherwise destined for the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini.

In a couple of months we launch the Audi R8 V10 Spyder, a convertible version which boasts a 5.2 litre FSI direct injection engine with 520 PS. We are taking orders for this car now, and expect to receive our showroom car around the end of April.

Is it any good?

You’d expect us to be enthusiastic about this new car, so let’s leave it to the independent experts to judge.

EVO magazine employs some of the most experienced and demanding journalists in the industry, and are generally seen as the authority in this part of the market. They tested the R8 V10 Spyder against the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, the Jaguar XKR Convertible and the eagerly anticipated Ferrari California.

Mugen CRX Del Sol

I’m not a big Del Sol fan, but this one has got magic on me. All the best goodies, from Mugen MF8 rims, Mugen seats, to Takata Green harness. Reminds me very much on Mugenized Integra I posted some time ago. List of candies is probably rich for both of them, Mugen all the way! DelSol powered by K20 unit, which is of course the ultimate Honda’s engine at this time.

370Z bodykit by Zele performance

Actually one of the best styled body kits for Nissan 370Z I have seen so far. Not too hard, but still aggressive enough. Bumpers, side skirts + carbon fiber front lip and rear spoiler for complete perfection.

Check out Zele performance for more Fairlady Z34 parts!

Nelson Racing RX7

1650hp monster from Nelson Racing on street. Definitely not a daily drive car and definitely not an economic one:) Getting some traction will be more difficult than getting 1650hp out of this engine, that’s for sure.

Takata Green CE28N on EVO IX

Cleanest EVO IX on Takata Green Volk CE28N rims. Stock exterior, lowered suspension, JDM Volks and voila, a car to adore. Only thing that is missing is rear spoiler, I know some may say EVO is cleaner without it, but that bigass spoiler is a real trademark of EVO, same thing on EVOs biggest rival Impreza STI. True AWD legends.

White body with CE28N rims, looks better on EVO or Impreza? You decide.

Miata NB6 by Manos

These days I received first E-mail with pictures of reader’s car. Mazda Miata NB6 (second generation) by Manos from Greece.

dsc0107d1

In less than one year his Miata became a real little drifting monster. Tochigi Fuji Super LSD differential, 4,777 final drive, KYB AGX adjustable shocks with H&R springs, Sparco REV and Sabelt GT1 seats, Raid steering wheel, custom half  cage, cat-back, air intake… And the list of modifications goes on and on! Add in mind Rota Zero Plus rims, and you’ll get an awesome Miata to admire.

Impreza 1998 WRC

Remember the times when Collin McRae rocked WRC championships with Subaru? Remember when Impreza was making it’s way to legends?

For many people those were the best times of WRC championship. When drivers were becoming heroes and true competition was present!

My style JDM R34 GT-R Godzilla. Some day, just some day this monster will be mine! Old school shaped black Nissan Skyline GT-R with 3-piece Volk GT-C series rims. With that brutal look, it doesn’t even have to move to look fast.

For sure one of the best R34s I’ve ever seen, I envy the owner:) Some day…

SKR EG6 at Tsukuba

On board video of SKR Honda Civic EG6 running at Tsukuba Circuit. NA monster with b18c (Integra Type R) engine and EK9 camshafts, running a great time of 1:05:XX. Not exactly a super lap like HKS EVO VIII, but for NA hot-hatch that’s impressive! Few lap times of stock cars at Tsukuba by Best motoring:

HKS CR-Z

More and more tuners started to tune still fresh Honda CR-Z. After some hot shots from Spoon Sports and concept pictures from Mugen company, now HKS published some pictures of their version of black CR-Z.

As always, HKS is cheap with revealing details until the very last moment. Engine work, exhaust, rims (Advan RS I suppose), body and brakes. Nothing drastic, but let yourself be surprised.

I’m still skeptical about that hybrid engines, with a K20 unit CR-Z would be a real pocket rocket, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Optimism part 2

This time Honda vs EVO. Remember Part 1?

Black STI on Volks

All black Impreza STI on Volks TE37 rims. A real badass monster, that generation of Impreza STI is my favorite, too bad what Subaru has done to new Impreza, but I can handle it probably:) Black Volks TE37 suits on that monster like a father on mother:)

Sure looks clean without rear spoiler, but that is kind of a soul of Impreza STI, something just doesn't feel right. Volks TE37 or Work Emotions?

DC2 in action

EUDM Integra DC2 on OEM Enkei rims. Integra is one of very rare Hondas with beautiful OEM rims, especially when they are painted to bronze or Takata green. Can’t say that for any EG or EK hatchback for sure.

Enjoy it.

Voltex aero kit on S2000

Evasive S2000 equipped with prototype of Voltex aero kit and Volks RE30 rims. It’s a street class monster, although it doesn’t look street legal at all. Brutal shapes and design, this S2000 is just made for racing, as it proved with ending on 1st place in finals of Buttonwillow CW13 Config Superlap battle.

Tein suspentions, Volks RE30 rims, AP breaking system with Project Mu 999 pads and Voltex aerodynamic kit are some of the most important swapped components on Evasive S2000, tuning of that S2000 is going to be harder with every new year. Can’t improve perfection.

Anyway, I got only this one picture, the rest of them you’ll just have to find on Sean Klingelhoefer’s blog. You sure won’t regret it, because he’s a guru of awesome photography. You can find link to his blog any time on my blogroll list.

Porsche 1951 Car

Porsche 1951 Car

This 1951 Porsche 356 Pre-A coupe was supposedly prepared for racing by factory race technician Harry Weber in Stuttgart when nearly new. It participated in the 1982 and 1998 Monterey Historics and has been invited to run again this year when Porsche is the featured marque. The car features some trick race-prep techniques, the proper split case style 1500cc engine, and looks terrific in black. The car is said to only weigh 1480lbs at this point.

Porsche 1950

These new 356 Porsches had 4-digit chassis numbers and were numbered 5001-5600. Of the 600 cars produced, 53 were Glaser bodied Cabriolets, 12 were Reutter bodied Cabriolets and 535 were Reutter Coupes. The cars were fitted with either a Type 369 1100cc engine or the Type 506 1300cc engine. Of the 12 Reutter Cabriolets produced in the initial batch of steel 356’s only 5 are known to still exist. According to the Split Window Registry these carry chassis numbers #5014, #5033, #5134, #5135 and #5138. Chassis #5135 with its Metallic Radium Green paint and 1300cc engine P1022, despite being a 1950 model year, was delivered new in February 1951.

Porsche Car 1949

There were a total of 47 units produced between 1948 and 1950. Four Gmund coupes were built in 1948. Twenty-five were produced in 1949 and 18 were produced in 1950. This brings the total number of cars produced to 51. The coupe’s most distinctive feature is its split windshield. It has mechanical brakes and is powered by an 1100 cc, 40 horsepower air-cooled engine, with two Solex carburetors. The Gmund features original chrome and upholstery, which gives it just the right patina. The engine has been rebuilt and the car has been repainted in its original color (based on an original early paint sample).

First Porsche Car 1948

First Porsche Car

In July 1948 the world caught the first glimpse of the Porsche 356 Roadster. The small two-seater was the first car to bear the Porsche name. The new Porsche received universal acclaim from journalists and won its class at its very first race. The sport’s cars exotic mid-engined spaceframe chassis was however too expensive and complicated for mass-production. Ferry Porsche had already realized this before Porsche #1 was completed and started the development of a less labor intensive production car. Even though the second Porsche was only remotely related to the original, the 356 name was retained.

The designers who contributed to the Google Phone, Mike and Maaike are in the preliminary process of coming up with the ATNMBL (autonomobile). To be released by 2040, the all-wheel-drive car doesn't have a steering wheel, brake pedal or drivers seat and drives entirely by itself. The size of a parking space, the electric powered car will have an internet sitting room and can fit about seven people.

You can control the by using this joystick, like playing computer games. I think children will eager to drive this automobile. You can’t buy and use this car. It is only for showing how technological improvements could come up new opportunities.
