Designed and built at Hyundai's European R & D center in Rüsselsheim, Hyundai i40 four-door sedan to reach UK showrooms in early 2012, about six months after the five-door wagon on display at the Geneva Motor Show recently.
Hyundai's European design chief Thomas Burkle said: "We want to go from three-box sedan typical and one that is consistent with the sporty character of the i40 for the tourer.
"By modeling the roof line, low sweep, i40 sedan we saw a striking coupe-like silhouette."
Hyundai i40 has previously said the salon has Swoopy inspiration from the style of the Passat CC.
As with the real, 1.7-liter turbo diesel engine with 113bhp or 134bhp expected to be offered at launch with a 1.6-liter petrol engine with 138bhp. Shortly after the launch, will be 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines are offered.
Ultra-efficient version of the 113bhp diesel 65.7mpg and 113g/km will be offered soon after the launch badged Blue Drive.
Barcelona is important as a place for the launch of i40, 40 percent of cars sold in salons Spain D-segment. This contrasts with Britain where, for example, not even a sedan version of the Ford Mondeo to offer to reduce the popularity of segments.
